The Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is the office of the University’s chief academic officer responsible for establishing policies and procedures across all curricular programs and in all professional disciplines.  It is responsible for the allocation of resources that will support academic programs and priorities. The Office is the forefront in setting up a conducive learning environment thus it ensures the acquisition and development of resources for academic concerns and for establishing competent faculty force.   The provost and vice president for academic affairs supervises the deans of all the schools and colleges, and works closely with department heads, faculty and staff to  ensure excellent and quality teaching and learning,  promote scholarship, research and creative works’ engagement, and provide opportunities for experiential and service learning.   The office of the provost and vice president for academic affairs ensures that education at CIU must be geared towards life-long and enduring learning.
